This is the story of how accurate the phrase “do nothing Congress” is and how extreme of situations they ignore across the aisle when the cameras stop rolling.
By now everyone is aware of Jeffrey Epstein and his network. Virtually every Congressional rep has made statements about disclosure and justice. About the need to go after the people involved regardless of party. They love to say this while standing next to survivors or lapping up press. But do their actions when the cameras are not rolling remain consistent with their public statements? This story is going to answer just that, with proof, and a call to action.
Its important to note that parts of this story will have to remain intentionally vague for now solely because of their insistence on non action. But first let me explain the story. In January of 2026 a massive tranche of Epstein files were released. This tranche shed light on a great deal of people in the circle. Some were known, some were not while some had downplayed their connections. Like previous releases, many victims (I will intentionally use the word survivor because it is unclear if all survived) were not redacted. It is the lack of redaction that provides the prime basis behind the anonymization of certain parties in this article.
In the January tranche of files was a massive pile that moved who we will refer to as “pedo 1” from a bucket of loose associates to the top 1-5% in closeness to Epstein. Among the files were dozens of emails back and forth where Epstein and pedo 1 shared girls between each other. In some messages they say I love you. I don’t mention that to imply there was some secret romantic relationship merely to exemplify the closeness between the two. The DOJ never redacted the name of pedo 1 in a gigantic amount of files mostly emails back and forth but the conversations around sharing of girls were vague references. They clearly referred to having fun with people of the opposite sex but no names or ages were detailed. That is with the exception of one email. We will refer to the girl in that email as victim 1 (sadly the DOJ did not redact her name but more on that later).
In the email exchange pedo 1 mentions a girl he thinks Jeffrey would like in the city Jeffrey says he is in at the time. He then asks Jeffrey if he uses Facebook and gives him the name of Victim 1. The email then cuts off making it unclear what happened next. Victim 1 did not have a common name (like Mary Jones or something) so I figured it would be relatively easy to find them even if due to ethics reasons I could not reach out per se. So I passed the info along to my information networks which include private investigators, military intelligence contractors, among other things. One person came back matching the profile (in the city at the time with that name). And sadly the profile fit the comment pedo 1 made about what Epstein liked. Given as the girl in question was born in 2000, the email sent in 2012 which would have made her 12 at the time.
But two issues emerged. Issue 1 was that she seemingly disappeared around that time. There wasn’t a disappearance report or anything like that but there was no trajectory to follow later on into life. Which led to the logical conclusion that she likely either 1. Was killed as many have suspected to some of the girls sent to Epstein or 2. Escaped and went to great lengths to hide herself as would also be a rational thing someone sent to Epstein at 12 may have done. But that left me with a problem. The name, Bates number, and/or enough about the situation to potentially bring accountability or get to the bottom of it I couldn’t release. What would happen if she was retraumatized because I brought this to the forefront? Thats an ethical boundary as a journalist and overall human being I could not cross. So I went to the people who were most vocal about Epstein accountability and who could persuade the DOJ to redact the name from the public file which would remove ethical restraints.
I started in early May. Emailed every member and top three staff of every member of numerous committees most importantly the House Judiciary Committee and House Oversight Committee. Also emailed some members of Congress that had known me personally from the Wisconsin Capitol Occupation organizing efforts back in 2011 like Mark Pocan and Gwen Moore. Emailed staffers for vocal Senators like Amy Klobuchar and Elizabeth Warren. Naturally I would know who took it seriously by who inquired further. Obviously they could verify the legitimacy of the file themselves from the DOJ website but someone doing something about it would also want to contact the DOJ and ask the name be redacted (something far easier for a member of Congress than a citizen) and would certainly want to follow up with the source of the information. How did I find this file out of the pile? What else did I know? Would I be willing to go on the record about this and other findings? Naturally anyone taking intelligence like this seriously would want to collaborate with the person who brought it to them and would certainly have questions.
But I didn’t get questions and in fact with one exception didn’t even get a response and that took massive effort to receive (more on that in a minute). I sent nearly a dozen emails over 3 weeks to the same group and the result was overwhelmingly check it and ignore it. Some members who had previous personal conflicts with me like Tom Tiffany and Scott Fitzgerald didn’t even open an email bearing my name but thats to be expected. But overall, over 680 different staffers and Congressional representatives not only opened the first email but opened at least a half a dozen of them. Actively consuming the information then tossing it aside. I was very explicit that this was a 12 year old girl trafficked to Epstein and that I was seeking to get their help having the name redacted and working with them to bring accountability after that in a way that didn’t involve participation of the victim, if she were even alive. After 3 weeks nothing which is why I write this article because I need your help. But first, to show just how extreme the inaction is let me provide a sample of the people who actually checked the emails and chose silence and inaction. I think you will be shocked. This is by no means a comprehensive list or anywhere close but I will attach names and one of the many read receipts behind each name.
First let’s start with the most likely I thought. You have Kevin Fox and Selene Ceja, top staff for Ro Khanna both opening it. Then you have Thomas Massie opening it personally along with his legislative director Seana Cranston all the way back in May (that was just the first time). That was shocking to me the people who authored the very bill that made the files public took no interest in seeing justice comr from them. I thought surely with a multi year history and a lot of press releases on the matter that Mark Pocan would take an interest. So I emailed his personal email both directly and through email octopus (again these are just some read receipts). Nothing. Well maybe Gwen Moore, another Wisconsin congressperson who should at least know my credibility would work. But her personal (AOL) email did check it but no response.
I also tried the oversight committee. There you had Ted Lieu checking every email still nothing though. Same with his Chief of Staff Marc Cevasco. James Comer never opened it but some of his top staff including Sarah Coffman and Austin Hacker did (Austin went back numerous times even). Surely Ranking Member of the Oversight Committee Robert Garcia would right? Actually worse. He and his staff didn’t check it until I ratio’d his communications director Sara Guerrero on Twitter. She did respond after and passed me to more senior staffer in Garcias office Andrew Bower who responded in a rather dismissive way. In fact every single member of the Oversight Committee had either checked it personally or had a staff member do so. Still no collaboration no pushing the DOJ to redact.
The House Judiciary Committee was basically the same. For chair Jim Jordan you have Kevin Eichinger and Jared Dilley two top staff. For Ranking member Jamie Raskin you have legislative director Abigail Cipparone. Long serving members Steve Cohen and Hank Johnson religiously checked from their personal emails but no action. Again every single member had an open from either them or one of their staff and nothing. Then you have the people outside of those committees that have been very vocal like Hakeem Jeffries, Nancy Mace, Lauren Boebert, and Jasmine Crockett. On the Senate side you have some examples like Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar (whos staffer Ruth McDonald re opened tons of times), and Mitch McConnell all checking personally or through key staff all doing absolutely nothing. Even the local reps who serve me in San Diego like Scott Peters who checked every email from his personal mail and Sara Jacobs all ghosted it.
I could keep posting these until my fingers fell off. And to be clear none of these opens are auto openers. Every single address varied in time it took to open each message or didn’t at all open some of them. An auto opener would consistently open immediately. Not sometimes open sometimes not or sometimes open quickly sometimes hours later. So I’m left with a problem. Possessing information that needs resolution while getting blown off by the people all over TV saying they want resolution and justice as well. No pressure on DOJ to redact the name so ethical press can run with the file. No coordination with me to understand how I found the file out of mountains and what else I know.
Thats where you come in. Congress clearly won’t act on information alone. But maybe they will act on pressure. Virtually every member (if not every member) of the House and Senate has these emails. They or their staffers have even checked them (the read receipts are a minute fraction). Most of them multiple emails multiple times. If they can ignore such a clear cut file what else is coming up that they are ignoring? How much is that contributing to the lack of any charges? And what might we uncover, that others have uncovered, if Congress actually did their job?
So how can you help? Send a message to your Senator and House Representative. Tag them on Twitter. Tag people who can get their attention like Hunter Biden for instance. Want to go extra email some of the emails from these read receipts. Send this article. Tell them that inaction is not acceptable. That you are demanding that 1. They immediately call the DOJ to redact the name of Victim 1 so that ethical journalists can do their job with the file. And demand that 2. Their office work with me to get justice for more than just Victim 1 and to start actually doing something with the files that might actually have an impact. Press conferences are not enough. And I don’t want money this site isn’t even monetized. Its all about the impact. And someone who can find one thing everyone else missed can certainly find more. If they feign ignorance they can reach me at jeremy@nftdemon.com or 858-327-1144 I’ll provide them the file. They can verify it. The fact that Mr. Bower, a top staffer for Robert Garcia ranking member of the Oversight Committee confirmed having it in the email above (also posted here for convenience) but did not dispute the contents says all it needs to of the legitimacy of whats in it. Now its time to act!
