Overview of The Horde Trial
AFK Heroes, a free-to-play idle RPG on the Solana blockchain, has launched The Horde Trial, a new game mode available from October 25, 2026, to November 15, 2026. This event features a total prize pool exceeding 2,000,000 AFKHERO, divided between two distinct gameplay modes, each with its own leaderboard. The top three players in each mode will share the respective prize pools after the event concludes.
How to Participate
To enter The Horde Trial, players should visit the Horde Trial section on the official AFK Heroes website. Each player is granted one free run per day in both game modes, allowing for cost-free competition on both leaderboards.
Game Modes
- The Long Night: This mode is an endless survival challenge where all classes begin at equal strength, regardless of progress in the main game. Players must survive against continuous waves of enemies, making it a test of skill and strategy, with no gear advantages.
- The Trial Ladder: In contrast, players use their own heroes and gear to navigate through 23 Trials, culminating in a battle against a Warden. Performance here is influenced by the player’s prior investment in their character’s development, rewarding those with stronger heroes and better equipment.
Daily Quests and Rewards
A daily quest has been introduced alongside The Horde Trial. Players who survive at least 2 minutes in their free Long Night run can earn 250,000 gold. Each free run unlocks a new quest, providing additional incentives to participate.
Updates and Features
The Horde Trial is part of a series of updates this October, including the introduction of mining mechanics and real-time 1v1 PvP duels. The ongoing Season 4 features a total of 100 million AFKHERO in rewards, marking it as the game’s largest reward season to date. Players can also access a welcome pack if they own a Seeker phone, which includes various in-game benefits.
AFK Heroes operates in a browser format, eliminating the need for downloads. Players can connect their Solana wallets, select their characters, and engage in automatic battles against monsters, earning AFKHERO even while offline. Since its launch in June 2026, the game has added numerous features, including guilds and crafting, enhancing the gameplay experience.
