Sweat Economy, the biggest move to earn app in the web3 space and one of the largest web3 games overall, has expanded their reach by opening up service in the United States, as well as a selection of additional countries. The Sweat App is free to use, so get out there and move to earn!
Sweat Economy first launched their web3 move to earn app over a year ago. But it wasn’t initially available in all countries. Most noticeably missing was the United States, which is unfortunately not a surprise due to confusing, ever-changing, and sometimes onerous requirements by various U.S. governmental agencies! But whatever hurdles needed to be passed are now complete. So residents of the U.S. can now download the Sweat wallet and start earning SWEAT tokens!
In addition, residents who live in the Bahamas, Barbados, Botswana, Ghana, Jamaica, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, and Uganda can now also use the Sweat Wallet.
Users of the web2 version of the Sweat app were able to opt into crypto side even before the app was available in their country. Anyone who did so before October 16th, 2023, should have had some of their accumulated steps automatically converted into SWEAT tokens.
You can download the Sweat Wallet through the App Store and through the Google Play Store.
What is Sweat Economy?
Sweat Economy is a mobile-based, move to earn app. It includes both a web2 and a web3 version. The basics are the same as other move to earn apps – connect your step tracker, start walking, and earn steps. Users then convert those steps used the points to purchase various gift cards and such through the Sweatcoin marketplace.
However, for those willing to dive into the world of blockchain, you can also install the Sweat wallet, which will allow you to generate SWEAT tokens, an ERC-20 token that can be exchanged on many decentralized exchanges and even some centralized exchanges. However, the token lives on the NEAR network, so it will have to be bridged back to the Ethereum network to sell.
Players can convert up to 5,000 steps per day into SWEAT token, more if they pay for a premium subscription. They can also earn Sweatcoins (in-app currency) for up to an additional 5,000 steps. In addition, players can challenge each other to Sweat Hero battles, with the winner earning extra SWEAT tokens. And finally, app users can also deposit their SWEAT tokens into ‘Growth Jars’. Growth Jars offer passive bonuses such as better rewards, lower transaction fees, and a staking income.
The team hopes to expand their app in the future to include other activities such as swimming and cycling.
The Sweat App and Sweat Wallet are available for both iOS and Android devices.
