Ripp starts his explanation by describing NFTs, claiming “they can’t be copied.” He later reasoned that YugaLabs do not own the BAYC NFT besides the ones in the company’s wallet. He also mentioned that once the NFT purchase has been made by the user, the ownership gets transferred too.
Continuing his Twitter thread, Ripp does a side-by-side comparison of the Bored Ape Yacht Club logo, justifying it looked similar to the Nazi Totenkopf emblem. When it comes to the RR/BAYC, Ripp reminded us that the buyers knew that it was a sign of protest against the BAYC.
Ripps also expressed that YugaLabs had tried to intimate to harm the team behind RR/BAYC. Ripps also pinpointed out that Guy Oseary threatened them, tried to interfere with their business relationships, and harassed Mr. Cahen’s sister.
While Ripp had highlighted to have gone through a tough time protesting against YugaLabs, some members of the crypto community showed their support, while others were still doubtful.
