The NFT in question #6873 is the rarest of the 8,888 NFTs. It is the only pfp with a green background and faces the other direction to the rest of the NFTs. However, this is not the first big sale of #6873. Previously, it sold for 225 WETH in September of 2021.

The new owner of the rare Penguin NFT #6873 is @KinkyBedBugs, a vocal enthusiast of the project. In a tweet yesterday, he said, “I put my money where my mouth is. I’m just 1000% bullish on the @pudgypenguins and @LucaNetz. That’s what it is, and that’s what it will be.”
Although there have been many jokes about the sale of the NFT for 400 ETH on Twitter, it could be a genius move by the new owner. Furthermore, in recent weeks, the floor price for a Pudgy Penguins NFT has risen 83% and 69% over the last month.
The 400 ETH Pudgy Penguin sale was from a listing on Opensea; however, the buyer opted to purchase the NFT through the official Pudgy Penguins marketplace built by Origin Protocol.
