Fableborne announces plans for their first NFT sale, with a series of play to mint events leading up to it, allowing players a chance to earn their way to a guaranteed, discounted NFT mint, or even a free airdrop!
Fableborne just completed their first closed playtest. And now they’re prepared to reward the top player from the playtest, and offer everyone an opportunity to ‘play to mint’ an NFT from the first release of their upcoming Primordials collection!
This first mint is for Fableborne Primordials, 2023 unique, PFP style NFTs. Specifically, Esperkin, magical, companion animals. We don’t know much about them otherwise. Though presumably they will look cool and provide some sort of in-game benefit.
The mint will take place on Magic Eden on the Polygon network. The exact date and base mint price have not yet been announced. The mint will occur in four phases, with the first two, pre-sale and T1, guaranteed mints.
Play to Mint
There are two play to mint categories. The first is a free mint, airdropped into the winners’ wallets. Spots on this airdrop list go to whoever places first in two, upcoming Pixion League Pre-Mint events. Another spot goes to the player who was the top rank from the recently completed closed playtest. And another three free mints will be given to the top 3 from an upcoming Pixion League Pre-Mint Tournament.
But you don’t have to finish first to get in on the mint. Everyone in the top 35 spots for the League events will have a chance to mint during the pre-sale for a discount. Discounts range from 25-70% depending on your final rank. In addition, anyone in the top 100 of the Pre-Mint Tournament can also mint at a discount during the pre-sale. However, these discounts go as high as 90% for fourth through sixth place!
You’ll want to keey an eye on Twitter, and join their Discord server to make sure you get the news about the special events if you’re interested in trying to earn a Fableborne Primordial mint. The team has promised that all will be revealed soon!
What is Fableborn?
Fableborne is free to play, play to own game that is a blend of action RPG and base building. Featuring an isometric viewpoint, Fableborne allows players to take to the arena themselves in multiplayer, asynchronous combat.
In Fableborne, players scout for new and bigger islands, build and fortify their bases, and unlock and upgrade the Echoes of slumbering Heroes to raid other player’s islands for resources. Built as a mobile first game, Fableborn is meant to feature quick play sessions.
Players start the game with a basic island and a common Hero. But not all resources are available on the starting island, so players will need to raid other player’s bases, and defeat PvE encounters to build up their own base. Echoes are playable characters, with a variety of skill and talent unlocks to choose from when leveling up. But, every time an Echo is defeated, they begin to fade. Enough defeats and that Echo can no longer be used for raids. However, players have the option of resetting a faded Echo, bringing it back to life with full energy but removing all levels and talents. The rejuvenated Echo does get an ability boost to help them re-level up.
And while players will be able to purchase NFT heroes, the Fableborne team wants to build a ‘fair economy’ where every player has the potential to unlock and own new heroes. How this works has not yet been detailed. Fableborne will include leaderboards and regular tournaments..
