With all the media coverage and high-profile drops, it’s easy to forget that there’s more to Yuga Labs than just hawking apes and taking a trip around the U-bend. But, outside the cacophony of the BAYC empire, one of the firm’s other hot NFT properties, Meebits, has been soldiering on in the background, recently celebrating it illustrious second birthday with some neat new collection updates.
For its grandiose anniversary, the Meebits NFT collection has ushered in what it calls MB1.2. Essentially, introducing the concept of living PFP’s, where holders can customize their assets without impacting the underlying metadata. An enhancement that also leverages the magic of technology to feed through to any HTML enabled NFT marketplaces.
To kick off this new update, Meebits has introduced ‘moods’ into the equation, allowing NFT holders to show their emotions via their PFP. As such, Meebits devotees can now head over to the partnered application, select one of 13 moods available, and it will feed through to compatible marketplaces. All without compromising the underlying metadata of their beloved digital assets.
It’s our 2nd birthday! Mood: HYPE. And a little DAZED. And kinda SPICY, tbh. MB1.2 is here, giving you a new way to bring your PFP to life. Get started at https://t.co/T6H2IOTZrt and check out the vid to see how it works. pic.twitter.com/fbClKOjvYo

Just a Small Part of the Bigger Meebits NFT Picture
This first of many upgrades set to occur during MB1.2 will set the pace for more integrations to come. Effectively, allowing holders to add a dash of personality to their no longer static PFPs. In addition, the partnered app also has the facility to take still images and GIFs of the collectibles in their new poses, which holders can then use to jazz up their profile pictures across social media.
To further enhance its collection, Meebits has also rolled out its slick render style from MB1.1 to the full body avatars. As well as supercharging the metadata to provide seamless integration with a wide range of virtual worlds and games, which in turn will remove many of the barriers to interoperability.
