Another token airdrop is coming soon as Heroes of Mavia releases the first info about their Pioneer Program. This program will be part of the initial release of the MAVIA token, with about 7.5 million allotted for airdrop participants!
Tokens, tokens, tokens! Tokens seem to be the hot commodity in web3 gaming at the moment, with a number of token releases and airdrops in the works. Heroes of Mavia joins in on the action, announcing their ‘Pioneer Program’, which will rewards land holders and players in season one with an airdrop of MAVIA tokens.
The Heroes of Mavia Pioneer Program will run in several stages, or seasons. The first season is only open to those who staked land in season 2, 3, or 4, and those who hold land NFTs. Rarer lands receive larger payouts. Players can check on Mavia.com to see if they are eligible for the airdrop. (Note: estimated rewards for simply holding land NFTs won’t be shown until closer to the token launch).
All airdrop tokens must be claimed within 14 days after the TGE, or Token Generation Event. Any tokens not claimed after this period will be returned to the treasury. The date for the token launch has not yet been announced.
If you want to get in on this first round of airdrops for the Mavia token, common land plots are available on Open Sea for about 1 ETH.
For those of us without any Mavia land NFTs, Season 2 and onwards of the Pioneer Program will provide opportunities for players to complete quests and earn points towards future airdrops. Also, Mavia plans to partner with exchanges to offer airdrops for their users as well.
You can read the official news about this airdrop on their Medium post.
What is Heroes of Mavia?
Heroes of Mavia is a free to play, mobile, base building, RTS game built on the Ethereum blockchain. Players construct and improve bases, and fight with other players to earn RUBY, the main game currency. The game features upgradeable NFTs in the form of Bases, Heroes, and Statues. Bases are the core game component, and each player needs one in order to play. Heroes and Statues are optional, but both provide substantial benefits to your team. Heroes assist your army with attack and defense, while Statues boost base production. Additionally, players can upgrade their NFTs by spending RUBY tokens.
The game also includes Gold and Oil resources. These are in-game only and used for certain base upgrades. These resources are produced by bases and can be stolen from other players in raids. There will be some sort of MMR / power rating system to try and keep players matched up to other players of equal strength.
Heroes of Mavia plans to incorporate rental mechanics into their game from the very beginning. Base owners can choose to rent out their bases to other players for passive income. This can be a fixed price rental system, or a ‘partnership’. Partnerships function as a built-in scholarship system. The base owner lets the partner run and upgrade their base in exchange for a percentage of the RUBY income.
Hereos of Mavia is currently building towards a beta release in 2024.
