Bored Ape Yacht Club has removed the scores of cheaters in its Dookey Dash game. The game ends on Feb. 8, and the team will validate the scores.
Bored Ape Yacht Club is having to deal with cheaters in its Dookey Dash game, taking action against them. The NFT project tweeted about wanting fairness in the NFT-based game after noticing some users who were cheating. It has since removed the scores of the cheaters from the leaderboard.
The team will soon lock the leaderboard of the game. Yuga Labs, the team behind Dookey Dash, did note that anyone who has had a score removed from the leaderboard can log a legitimate score before it is locked at 3 PM PST on Feb. 8.
Once the score is locked in, the team will validate Sewer Passes. Cheaters cannot replay the game to log a new score. The team encourages the community to ensure that everyone plays fairly.
Yuga Labs recently launched the NFT collection “Sewer Pass,” which gives access to the Dookey Dash game. On Feb. 15, players will unlock a “mysterious new power source.”
It didn’t take long for the collection to become successful. The Sewer Pass collection crossed $4 million in volume within a few hours of listing.
Cheaters Impersonating Players
Crypto community members have discussed the cheating that is taking place on Dookey Dash. One individual noted that one cheater impersonated several players in the top 100 on the leaderboard. All of the rewards end up in one wallet as a result.
Dookey Dash is a skill-based game where players have to collect various fragments as they make their way through a maze-like environment. The team calculates the final score based on the number of fragments collected and how far they get.
Sewer Pass Collection Does Well
The Sewer Pass collection has been doing very well. The current floor price is about 2.4 ETH, peaking at nearly 3 ETH a few days ago. Total sales have also increased by 17% over the past week to 2,251.
